Pregnancy Chiropractic Care in St. Louis, MO

Gentle Care for a Body That's Changing Fast

Your center of gravity shifts, your ligaments loosen, and your lower back and pelvis carry more every week. Low back pain, pelvic pain, and sciatica are common in pregnancy — but common doesn't mean you have to grit your teeth until delivery. We adapt our care to each stage of pregnancy and keep your OB or midwife in the loop.

Common Pregnancy Aches We Help With

Pregnancy puts new demands on your body. Common complaints include:

  • Low back pain that builds through the day

  • Pelvic or pubic bone pain — worse rolling over in bed or on stairs

  • Buttock or SI joint pain

  • Sciatica shooting down the leg

  • Hip pain that makes sleeping hard

  • Upper back, neck, or rib tension

The Approach to Pregnancy Care

Care during pregnancy is gentle and adapted to each trimester — positioning is adjusted so there's no pressure on your belly, and techniques are low-force. Visits may include gentle adjustments to the pelvis, low back, and upper back; soft-tissue work; sleep and positioning tips; and simple home exercises. Sciatica or back pain hitting hard? See our sciatica care and back pain care. And after baby arrives, we're here for the whole family.

We Work Alongside Your OB or Midwife

Your OB or midwife runs your pregnancy; we help with the aches. We're glad to coordinate with your provider, and if anything in your exam needs their attention, we'll send you straight to them.

Call your OB or midwife right away — or go to labor and delivery — for vaginal bleeding, leaking fluid, regular contractions, decreased baby movement, a severe headache, vision changes, sudden swelling of the face or hands, or severe abdominal pain.
