Dr. Joseph "Joe" Sas, D.C. — Founder & Chiropractor
Dr. Joe graduated from Logan University in 2008 and has spent the years since building one of St. Louis' top-rated chiropractic clinics — and mentoring other chiropractors around the country. He's also an FMCSA National Registry Certified Medical Examiner — which is why Gateway handles DOT physicals in-house — a Certified Kinesio-Taping Physician (CKTP), and holds a Certificate in Pediatric Neurology from The Slak Institute. He's licensed in Missouri and holds inactive chiropractic licenses in Pennsylvania and Florida. His approach is simple and it drives everything we do: honest answers, a real plan, and only the care your body actually needs.
When he's not in the office, you'll find Dr. Joe in his workshop building furniture — some of which ends up at the practice — or spending time with his wife Katie and their two kids, Jillian and Dominic.
His care has earned repeated local recognition — St. Louis Magazine's Best Chiropractor (2025) and Best South County Chiropractor (2022–2024), plus St. Louis Headliner's Best Chiropractic Office and Best Chiropractor (2025).

Brittany Schmitz — Front Desk Coordinator
The first friendly face you'll meet. A St. Louis native who joined Gateway in 2021, Brittany keeps the front desk running smoothly and every visit easy. And yes — she really is the boss; we couldn't do what we do without her hard work and effort. Outside the office she's into arts and crafts, refurbishing furniture, hiking, and hanging out with her rescue pup, Arya.
Abby Dunker — Community Outreach Manager
Originally from the Kansas City area, Abby recently graduated from Missouri State University with a bachelor's degree in Health Services. She joined Gateway Chiropractic as Community Outreach Manager and looks forward to getting involved in the St. Louis community and connecting more people with the care and resources the practice provides. Outside of work, she enjoys creative projects, exploring new coffee shops and local restaurants, staying active, and meeting new people.
Dalila Trkic — Chiropractic Therapy Tech
A St. Louis native with Bosnian roots, Dalila helps guide you through therapy and rehab during your visits, keeping you comfortable and on track. She loves travel and a good adventure.
